Lefty is my first attempt at using a heat-formed PVC frame and Medium Density EVA foam. He is not much more than a remote control car at this point. The wheelchair is controlled using RC radio with a Sabertooth Dual 12 amp motor controller. The mouth is spring loaded so that it opens and closes with inertia. The tail is articulated and swings back and forth with the inertia of turns. It's pretty easy to make it look like Lefty is swimming by running him in a serpentine path.
